The Department of French Language Education, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Paris, held an event to further popularize Batik, which is one of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritages. The beauty of Batik was revealed through the "Lawasan Batik Workshop and Presentation" on October 25 2023. With an elegant touch, this event attracted the participation of participants who were local French residents and the Indonesian diaspora. Elegant presentations and fashion shows depict harmony between tradition and modern lifestyle. The batik making workshop was a highlight because participants had the opportunity to be creative in creating impressive works of art and depicting the richness of our shared cultural heritage.
